This place will show u the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal & the Subarnarekha. Various types of plants, shrubs remain here. Mainly the Mangrove Forest expands here Miles after miles. According to the Collection room , many species of birds & sea animals remain here, though, that’s the rarest case if u can see this. Whatever, a total different kind of spot that I witnessed. All the nature lovers should visit it at least once. Its impossible to forget it out from mind. The amazing memories always make your soul happiest.

The first surprise in store was the resort….wonderful ambience, very nice rooms and excellent service. The trip to the mangrove forests and islands along the Bay of Bengal was even more enticing. The place is still calm and serene, but here is where I stop. The loads of tourists coming in from nearby Digha on a day trip must be curbed right now – noisy, dirty and unruly. If this place has to be preserved, such crowd must be controlled. They reach the islands and leave behind non-degradable items which are then washed out by the tide. A desperate plea to the tourism department in Odisha: Please dont let Bichitrapur become another Digha.

Not many tourist flank this area, specially in early morning, therefore the beach unfolds with its ultimate serenity. With sunken mangrove trees here and there and the dense casuarina forest in the backdrop, the place posed the perfect picture for serenity and calmness. A walk along the pristine beach, soaking in the morning hue and playing with the red crabs, its appeal never ends.
A must visit and preferably early in the morning during a high tide.

Have a nice journey…
